Awesome chapter out of Job

Job 28

Where Does Wisdom Come From?

1-11“We all know how silver seams the rocks, we’ve seen the stuff from which gold is refined,
We’re aware of how iron is dug out of the ground
and copper is smelted from rock.
Miners penetrate the earth’s darkness,
searching the roots of the mountains for ore,
digging away in the suffocating darkness.
Far from civilization, far from the traffic,
they cut a shaft,
and are lowered into it by ropes.
Earth’s surface is a field for grain,
but its depths are a forge
Firing sapphires from stones
and chiseling gold from rocks.
Vultures are blind to its riches,
hawks never lay eyes on it.
Wild animals are oblivious to it,
lions don’t know it’s there.
Miners hammer away at the rock,
they uproot the mountains.
They tunnel through the rock
and find all kinds of beautiful gems.
They discover the origins of rivers,
and bring earth’s secrets to light.

12-19 “But where, oh where, will they find Wisdom?
Where does Insight hide?
Mortals don’t have a clue,
haven’t the slightest idea where to look.
Earth’s depths say, ‘It’s not here';
ocean deeps echo, ‘Never heard of it.’
It can’t be bought with the finest gold;
no amount of silver can get it.
Even famous Ophir gold can’t buy it,
not even diamonds and sapphires.
Neither gold nor emeralds are comparable;
extravagant jewelry can’t touch it.
Pearl necklaces and ruby bracelets—why bother?
None of this is even a down payment on Wisdom!
Pile gold and African diamonds as high as you will,
they can’t hold a candle to Wisdom.

20-22 “So where does Wisdom come from?
And where does Insight live?
It can’t be found by looking, no matter
how deep you dig, no matter how high you fly.
If you search through the graveyard and question the dead,
they say, ‘We’ve only heard rumors of it.’

23-28 “God alone knows the way to Wisdom,
he knows the exact place to find it.
He knows where everything is on earth,
he sees everything under heaven.
After he commanded the winds to blow
and measured out the waters,
Arranged for the rain
and set off explosions of thunder and lightning,
He focused on Wisdom,
made sure it was all set and tested and ready.
Then he addressed the human race: ‘Here it is!
Fear-of-the-Lord—that’s Wisdom,
and Insight means shunning evil.'”

Big Feet

Took Corey finally to get her feet on the wall of the midwifery center. It was 14 months over-due. Her feet next to ever other on of our teeny babies feet are so funny. Here are some pictures and a video.

A little Longer

Hear is a song that has been on my heart and that I just love to sit at my piano and play and sing. It always takes me to a place in the spirit that I never want to leave. Such an intimate moment with the Lover of my Soul. After playing and singing I just feel so close to him and I find myself just playing and singing prophetically. I love it when the Lords speaks through me and to me. What an amazing gift he has given us to just be able to come into his presence and be completely undone and sit with the creator, our maker and be so totally wrapped up in him and He’s wrapped up in me.

Oh Boy!

Enough said!!

Benjamin Button

Dawson turned 5 yesterday. What a happy time it is to remember and rejoice in a life that God has gifted to us. I remember the day he was born so vividly. I remember thinking he looked like a little old man and till this day he still does. I like to refer to him as my “little Benjamin Button” .

Dawson started Kindergarten this year. I can’t believe it. He is loving it so much. He does well and his teacher seems great, so far. He loves going on the bus with his big brothers and I think he is enjoying the little independence he gets by having his own school and teacher. He is the middle one so some times he gets a bit lost in the shuffle. The big boys don’t always include him and well, the girls they like to include him, and he does enjoy spending time with them, and he loves and protects Corey all the time, but of course they are girls and he wants to do big kids stuff too. I think this is just what he needs. I am excited for him.

We aren’t having a birthday party per-say. He wants to go to Busch Gardens and I explained to him he couldn’t have any friends come and he was fine with that. David’s dad is coming and that will be fun. I am looking forward to it. We did celebrate, just us 7, by taking him to Red Robin (his choice) and we enjoyed eating and laughing. There were a lot of birthdays there last night and every time the group came out to sing he would ask if they were gonna sing to him. I said I don’t know, do you think they know it’s your birthday? :) He and Sadie kept singing Happy Birthday the whole time we were there. I suppose they were trying to get them to notice and then they would know it was his birthday. It was cute. Of course they were gonna come sing to him, we had already set it up, but it was cute to watch. When they did finally come over he became really shy all of a sudden. I took some video and some pictures of the night that I am editing, but for now I will just leave you with a picture from every year of his life until now.

Dawson is one cool dude. He love to sing, He loves to dance, he loves his little sisters, wants to be just like his big brothers and still wants to be mommy’s baby (which I am totally fine with :) ).  He really loves to ask lots of question about weather. He seems fascinated with storms, clouds, stars, moon, sun, hurricanes, lightning, thunder, rain. If it’s weather related he’s interested. I love this because I too am fascinated with weather.

He also really loves to worship Jesus. This is one of the most precious moments for me as a mom. To watch him fall in love with his Savior at such a young age. He loves to talk about him and ask questions. He is such a sensitive kid when it comes to the Holy spirit and the presence of God. When he was around 3 years old he used to see angels in his room. He told me a lot about them and the colors that they were and where they were positioned in his room. I very frequently felt the presence of God in his room. Over the course of the last two years he has told me that Jesus was here in the room and he would point to where he was.  A couple of the times he mentioned this he pointed to this very blank spot on my wall.  I know that this is significant in and of itself, but it just so happened to be the same spot that Corey (I know babies see Jesus and angels) would stare at. Out of the blue, she would be nursing, stop suddenly, and quickly turn her head and stare. Sometimes she would coo and smile. She did this often. One night while David was out-of-town I let the kiddos sleep in my bed with me. I was feeding Corey when she decided to pull away and stare and smile. I decided to ask Dawson, without him being privy to what I thought was happening, “Do you see something over there?” He turned, looked, and simply said “yep it’s just Jesus”. It blew my mind. He has such a deep relationship with the Lord even now at a young age that seeing Jesus in the corner of my room was a very normal thing for him. I am not saying he takes it lightly. The other day he came to me and said “mommy I know how to pray” He then began to pray in tongues. This is something we haven’t explained to him yet. I know he must hear us pray that way at times and some at church, but it isn’t something that has been explained or talked about, at least when he’s been around. He really has a connection with Jesus and a heart to worship him. He walked into the room I was in, two or three days ago, and said “mommy Jesus is here” and he began to speak in tongues. It was the sweetest calming presence of the Lord I have felt in a long while. I am so thankful that God has given David and I the ability to cultivate an atmosphere where the spirit of God is here. It is all Jesus and I am honored to give him the Glory!!! Like I said, my sweetie is a very special young man and I am thankful to have him in my life. What a joy He is.

Happy Birthday my “BIG” little man. I love you.

Time to Play Catch Up

I haven’t posted in a long while. There are so many things to post about, so I’m gonna try to post once a day for the next 7 days. Let’s see if I can do it. Keep a look out I will be posting my first one sometime today. I will leave you with a photo for now. How could I not let you see a sneak peek of our summer. That would be just plain mean :) hehehe!!!

Eyeliner

It’s amazing what a little thing like eyeliner can do for a bunch of kiddos. It makes their day and they have a blast. I am enjoying these kids and their imaginations. So unique and so loveable.
